Temporary Registration Specialist
Reports to: Temporary Registration Manager
Overview
The Temporary Registration Specialist is responsible for processing temporary tag requests submitted by the Sales team, coordinating with third-party vendors or the state’s governing body directly to issue tags, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring clients receive up-to-date reporting. This role requires precision, consistency, and strong communication to maintain compliance and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Request Management
Receive and review temporary registration requests from the Sales team, verify that all required documentation is included, such as proof of sale, identification, and vehicle details. Submit completed requests to approved vendors for tag issuance.
Vendor Coordination
Track the status of all pending and approved temp tags.
Communicate with vendors to confirm receipt and resolve submission errors or missing information.
Maintain organized records of issued and pending tags in internal systems.
Reporting
Add each issued tag to the department’s tracking report immediately after vendor confirmation.
Compile and verify daily reports summarizing all issued tags.
Send finalized reports to clients, ensuring all data is accurate, consistent, and delivered on time.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure all temp tag requests meet state and vendor-specific compliance requirements.
Maintain audit-ready documentation for every issued tag.
Notify the Temporary Registration Manager of any anomalies, rejections, or recurring vendor issues.
Collaboration
Work closely with the Sales, Tag & Title, and Account Management teams to ensure a smooth end-to-end client experience.
Support the Temporary Registration Manager in identifying opportunities to streamline submissions and reporting workflows.
